Employment Opportunities

 

PRN Nurses & CNA's
Burke Hospice & Palliative Care is seeking qualified Nurses and CNA's to work with our patients on an as-needed basis. Candidates may work in homes, community facilities, or our own Hospice House.

RN Requirements: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred. Current North Carolina Registered Nurse License. Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in the delivery of nursing services in Hospice, Home Health or Hospital Medical Surgical, preferably five (5) years. Exceptional clinical skills, compassion and true concern for the care of the dying and their families. Excellent communication and problem solving skills. Ability to work independently and adapt well to change.

CNA Requirements: NC-approved Certified Nursing Assistant I or II certification, II preferred. Currently on State Home Health Aide Registry as having satisfactorily completed training course and/or competency testing which qualifies him/her to do home health aide work in a Medicare certified hospice. High school graduate or equivalency required. Minimum of one (1) year experience in health care; two (2) years experience preferred.
