Burke Hospice & Palliative Care hosted the Be An Angel 2015 fundraiser on Saturday, April 18 at The Old Armory in Morganton. This community event featured tastings from several local restaurants as well as a silent auction and live music. All proceeds from Be An Angel 2015 will go to Burke Hospice & Palliative Care’s Patient Family Care fund.
Throughout its history, Burke Hospice & Palliative Care has never denied care to anyone based on a their ability to pay. In 2014, BHPC provided over $533,000 of un-reimbursed services to patients and their families. During this same time period, BHPC staff provided over 6o,ooo hours of direct patient care to more than 1,100 patients who were diagnosed with a terminal illness and needing end-of-life care. It’s through fundraising efforts like Be An Angel that Burke Hospice & Palliative Care can continue providing the very best end-of-life care to the residents of Burke and the surrounding counties.
